How to Join Far Horizons:

A little bit about us~

We are a family & friends based guild with our emphasize being on friendship, fun & being supportive of each others goals. We want members that have the intention of making Far Horizons their permanent home & Everquest family. We do not want people looking for a temporary guild or use us a stepping stone to a guild with higher level restrictions. If you are a Loot Driven person or "Power Gamer", Far Horizons is not for you. If the guild is going to raid a zone & the first thing you would say is "What drops there? or "Any "insert your class" loot drop there?", then Far Horizons is not for you. We want members with a sense of "selflessness", meaning they enjoy seeing others in their guild receive loot and finish quests as much as they do themselves. This makes us a very tight-knit, caring and strong guild.

Our guild tag will be more than just a bunch of words next to your character name. This is a place to call home, to have fun and assist in adventuring, fighting, questing, searching, etc. Far Horizons guild will foster a type of structured, sincere, organized, honorable, easy-going, effective, respectful, and fun environment. We believe that a guild that plays together...stays together! More important than that is loyalty and honor. Loyalty will get us all there together!

There is a minimum level requirement of 55 to join Far Horizons. But even moreso, there is a Maturity requirement. We want mature, responsible & respectable members within our ranks. Your actions & what you say publicly, reflects on the Entire Guild.

Since this is a mature guild, with average ages of members being 28 to 30, Guild Chat at times can be considered "Rated R : under 17 not permitted". Please take this into consideration if you are easily offended or under the age of 17. This does not mean that guild chat is an open forum for just any kind of chat, so please respect others & take into consideration what you say.

Raids~

Raids are a regular occurrence in Far Horizons. Raids are not mandatory to attend, but highly encouraged. There is a fair amount of raids monthly but not to be overpowering. Giving you EQ time for yourself or to spend with friends in other guilds. Majority of our raids are for levels 50+. It is encouraged that you attend all Epic raids as possible to help your fellow guildmates with their quests. More happy members makes the guild grow stronger as a whole. The idea behind this is that someday, you too will need the help for your high end level quest & your guildmates will be there for you. Loot allocated to members based on their longevity in guild, level, how far into the guest (if it applies) & your overall raid attendance. Please do not expect to become a member and right away have everyone jump to help you with your epic or high-end quests. This is a "One hand washes the other" type of deal. You help others, you will receive the help when you need it.

With this being said, read our Rules & Regulations and see if Far Horizons is for you. If you feel that this type of guild & atmosphere is where you want to be then proceed to filling out our recruitment form.

Filling out & Sending Application~

Complete the recruitment form on our message board : Recruitment Application. Tell us as much as you can about yourself . . This includes how long you have been playing EQ, your character's class, race, level, previous guilds, notable AA, epic progression, your sponsor's name & e-mail address. Your application will be processed usually within a weeks time. All Officer approval is needed & your sponsor to be contacted & confirmed.

If you have any questions please contact me at Mustangromi@yahoo.com.

Recruitment~

Once we receive your application we will direct you to our raid schedule. You must attend at least two raids with us before you will be invited into the guild. This is to see if you get along with others well, your overall attitude, if you know how to play your class on raids, and if you're willing to learn how to work with others.

Probation Period~

Once you are approved to the guild you will be a "Trial Member" for 30 days time. This is not only for us to see if you fit in with our family, but this is a time for you to decide whether you wish to stay with us or not. If you do decide to leave during the probation period, you may bow out & reapply in the future if you wish. If you decide to leave anytime afterward your 30 day probation, you will not be allowed back into the guild. There are no exceptions to this rule. This rule is made because a decision to leave our guild should be a well thought out one, not one done on the spur of the moment cause you were having a bad day, had problems with someone in the guild, or something didn't go your way. If you do decide to leave our guild, you will also need to remove your Alts or they will be removed for you.

You will be sent the password to all Members sections of our forum via E-mail.. Please post in the Horizons Chat introducing yourself to the guild. You will be expected to check Message Board consistently to keep up with Current Events & Guild News.

During your probation time it is encouraged that you attend as many raids & functions as possible to get to know all members. Any unacceptable behavior by trial members are grounds for immediate removal from the guild by any officer. After your 30 day probation period is over, Only the leader can remove members.

Thank you for your interest in Far Horizons. We are always looking for new friends to add to our ever growing family.
