~Rules & Regulations~

You must be level 55 or above & have a member in good standing as your sponsor. It is not mandatory to have a sponsor, however it does move your application along faster.

There will be No account sharing allowed unless the other person/persons are guild members as well. If an officer or myself find out that someone else is playing your acct you will be warned. Further breeches of this rule will be grounds for guild removal.

Every member should be conscious of the fact that his or her actions reflect on the guild as a whole. Remember that you represent the ENTIRE guild when you say & do things publicly. Respect & help others as much as possible. KS'ing, intentional training, trade scamming & any other dirty deeds will not be tolerated and are grounds for immediate removal from guild.

Members are not to go anonymous without prior Officer approval. Members are to use Role-play so that their guild tag is always visible. There is absolutely no excuse for your guild tag to not be exposed. Using the /roleplay option hides your class/level & location leaving your guild tag visible.

If you are not going to be playing for 30 days or more, you must contact an officer in game or E-mail the leader at Mustangromi@yahoo.com. If you are gone longer for 60 days and there is no word from you, you will be removed from the guild. To gain access to the guild again, you must go through the recruitment process again.

Alternate Characters will not be allowed into the guild until the initial 30 day probation period is over. After the initial 30 days, you may have as many alts in guild as you wish regardless of level.

If you remove your Main from the guild, you must remove all of your alternates as well or they will be removed for you.

You must have all maps Downloaded. Please check our Main board for links to Eq-Toolbox an excellent source for maps. If you are a class that cannot sow, Invis or EB yourself, you must have potions or items to do so at all times.

Members will refrain from begging other members or players for trade skill items, equipment, PP or services such as ports, binds, PL's, rezzes, etc. We are here to help each other, but each member must respect the time and effort that others have put into their crafts and characters as well. Guild Members are encouraged to help whenever possible, but at times it isn't feasible. Do not expect your fellow members to provide you with constant ports or rezzes.

If you are having a problem with guild policy or other guild members, please take it up with your immediate officer or guild leader. There will be no "member bashing" or any such harsh actions tolerated in guild chat. If you are having a problem with a fellow member, try to work it out in tells. If needed, contact an officer to be a moderator to help with the problem. All members are expected to respect one another regardless of any differences that may arise.

No Whiners!! Constant whining, complaining & "poor me" attitudes will get you either a quick meeting with an officer/leader to discuss your behavior or a guild removal. This goes back to an old saying, If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say anything at all. Everyone's play time should be pleasant so No WHINERS please :)

No Braggers!! If you have nice items, mega AA's, more HP's then some God's , well good for you!! You are fortunate & I'm sure you have worked hard for it. But the rest of the guild does not need to hear about it over & over. It makes some less fortunate people feel bad & we do not want that here.

~Sponsor Info~
If you are a sponsor of a prospective member, you are responsible for directing him/her to the guild site to familiarize themselves with guild policy & current events. You are also responsible (to some extent) for his/her actions. So please know who you are inviting.

~Loot~

We are now using a DKP system for looting. Details are below.

Earning DKP

DKP, or Dragon Kill Points, are earned by attending raids and helping to kill various mobs. Each Mob we kill has an assigned point value The exact amount will differ between mobs, however once a DKP is set for a mob, then it will be that amount each kill thereafter. If you are there when we kill the mob you will earn that amount of points. If it is the first time the guild kills that mob, you will earn double points. If we fail on a mob then 25% DKP will be awarded (Just on mobs that we have yet to kill for the 1st time). If you show up on time for the raid you will get 5 points free. This should encourage people to show up on time at the beginning of the raid night.

(Example: We head into Fear and kill Cazic Thule. He has a point value of 10. Each member there who helps kill him will receive 10 points. If it was the first time the guild killed him you will receive 20 points. Those that are present at the raid start time will receive a bonus 5 points. So on a first kill, being on time, you have earned 25 points for the kill.

Using DKP

When we are on a raid and an item drops, that item will be assigned a bid value by the officers. People will then be able to send a tell to an officer with their bid. then the officers present will award the item to the top bid. In the event that there is a tie then we will go to who has the most DKP saved.

When making loot decisions, the officers will use the totals as they appear on the web site as a guideline at the time of the raid. As an item drops off a mob, the DKP needed to purchase it may be lowered. This will mean that those wanting the item the most and immediately will have to spend the most points. However those wanting to wait until the item costs less DKP will have to wait, this means they have to take the chance it might not drop again, they aren’t on the raid when it does drop, or that we decide to stop raiding that mob before they get a chance to get the item. Until the raid is entered onto the site, you do not have the DKP from that raid. Every effort will be made to enter raids on the web site before the next raid is called. The only time the totals in the tool will not be used is when a player has looted something earlier in the day. The amount of DKP spent will be taken into consideration when making loot decisions later in the same day.

(Example: We go to VT to raid mob #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5. If Ayuden at the beginning of the night has 75 DKP, but buys a necklace from mob #2 for 60 DKP, his points are immediately subtracted from his total and now has 15 DKP to use for the rest of the raid that night.)

(Example: We go to VT and Ayuden has 75 DKP at the beginning of the night. Assume we say all 5 mobs are assigned 15 DKP per kill. If Ayuden wants to buy an item on mob #5, he still has 75 DKP even though we have already killed 4 mobs at 15 DKP each. This is because DKP will NOT be added to your total until the end of the night after all raiding is over.

Losing DKP

DKP can and will be docked for skipping raids. This ONLY occurs when you are online and have time to raid, but refuse to come anyway w/o talking to an officer ahead of time. The amount of DKP docked for skipping a raid will be 2x the normal amount of DKP for that raid. If we are raiding we need you there, late or not, you are required to raid on our 2 raid nights, IF you can be on during those nights.

Other DKP Rules and Answers to Possible Questions:

New Members

New members will start at zero DKP and will begin earning DKP at a rate of 50% the current DKP value of the raids, until their probationary period is over. [Currently 30 days]Probationary Characters can not bid on items until their probationary period is over. Unless an item is going to rot, at this time the probationary char may place a bid.

Honorary members

Non-guild members who raid with us, can earn DKP. DKP that out of guild members acquire will be at a rate of 25% of the normal rate for said mob.

You can go into negative DKP. You may only go to negative 10% of your current DKP. Meaning if you have 70DKP and the item is worth 70, you can use your DKP and bid to 77 DKP. You must then wait until you have positive DKP to try to win more items.

2 boxing

This is a non-issue as it is not allowed, we want everyone to play their ONE character to it’s fullest and this can simply not be done while boxing. We may ask you to log on an alt for buffing or porting purposes at the start of the raid, you will then log it off and log to your main.

Looting when you shouldn't

If you loot an item, it will cost you its assigned DKP value. There are NO exceptions to this rule. It doesn’t matter if it’s going to rot or if no one else wants it. If you don’t want to spend the DKP, then let it rot. For now and officer will loot any items that are not wanted and destroy them.

There will be NO transferring points between your characters, or to other guild members. (Exception: If you retire a character, you may transfer the points to another NEW main if it's replacing the old one and has not earned DKP previously, but cannot go back and forth between the two.)

Some items will still be merit, such as ST keys, spells/runes, etc as they will benefit the guild as a whole. Also, items that the guild leadership feels should be merited to the MA chain such as Bloodfrenzy and Blade of Carnage will be merited to the appropriate individual by the officers. BoC and certain other droppable items remain the property of the guild, and must be returned to the guild bank when the holder decides to move on for whatever reason. These items are identified as such at
the time of drop, and include but are not limited to the Blade of Carnage and Helm of Rallos Zek.

Item values will be assigned as they drop. The same item may not always be worth the same amount of points each time, but we will try to be consistent.

Droppable loot that was obtained from the guild can be returned to the guild for DKP. The amount of DKP refunded will be 1/3 rounded up of the current DKP price of the item at the time it is returned. This is to encourage you to give it back so it can be handed down and further enhance the guild as a whole. If you receive an upgrade and you would like to give an item to someone in the guild, an item of which you have purchased or looted on your own time, you may also earn DKP for doing so.
DKP given in this case will be determined by officers who will compare it to the DKP cost of similar items that have dropped on raids (Also resulting in 1/3 of that DKP value). The item returned will then be auctioned as if it had dropped off a mob. The DKP price will be exactly twice that of what was given for it.

(Example: Carcase wins a helm [droppable] for 100 DKP (or buys it in bazaar). A few months later he decides he really wants to upgrade his helm again. He pays 100 DKP for the new item. He returns his old item to an officer. Assuming the current DKP for the 1st helm is now at 40 DKP, he will get 1/3 of that rounded up which would be 14 DKP. Now the officers
auction that item at twice what Carcase got for it, so the helm is valued at 28 DKP.)

These are the rules. There will be NO exceptions at this time.
Rules may change, but they will be posted if they do.

Guests on raids will not be eligible for loot unless no full members need. Recruits are able to send tells for loot but will only be given if no full members are in need of the item.

~Raids~

Raiding will be a regular occurrence in Horizons. All members are urged to attend Guild Raids. Attendance will be taken at all raids. If a raid is planned for the sole purpose of attaining items for a certain person, the person receiving the item will be determined before the start of the raid. There is a fair amount of raids monthly but not to be overpowering. Giving you EQ time for yourself or to spend with friends in other guilds. We use a merit system to distribute loot depends on your time in guild, level, progression into the quest (if it applies) & your overall raid attendance.

Basic Raid Guidelines:

1. On raid days, be prepared to drop what you're doing and get to a zone if a target is called to raid. It is preferred that members stay out of LDoN adventures on raid days.

2. Purchase any supplies you need before hand (food/water, spell components etc.)

3. BE ON TIME!!! For scheduled raids, get to raid at least 15 minutes prior to the start time. If needed, get port to that zone the night before the raid, so when you log on you are already there. Do not wait till the last minute to get a port to the zone. If a Raid is scheduled for 8 P.M., be at the zone & ready to be grouped. Check Guildmotd to see if there is a chat channel & Join it ASAP.

4. Once in zone, Take off "Roleplay" and put on LFG. This makes it much easier for raid leader to start making groups knowing everyone's class & level. If the raid leader is making groups from the Chat channel, then join the chat channel ASAP. Check the Guildmotd for that day for the Raid channel name & join it.

5. During the raid, Keep the Raid Channel "Chat" to a minimum. This way important instructions will be not be missed. This doesn't include downtime of course. No assist messages in Raid channel, heals ect. Only thing during an attack that should be told in raid channel is MA Attack, Slows, Malo's, Chanter mezzes and possible SA splits on mobs.

6. Know who your raid leader is. Listen for all Rules of the raid & who the MA/SA will be & make your appropriate hotkeys ASAP. If you are Melee, turn /assist off. Attack is only to begin after MA has announced that he/she is Attacking the mob.

7. Know your Role in the Raid. For example: If you are one of 3 enchanters on a raid, Work out between yourselves, Who will be buffing, who will be tashing, etc. or listen to the Raid leader to announce what job you will have for the raid.

8. Do not send the raid leader unnecessary tells or just to "chat" during a raid. It is very stressful running a raid & the Leaders concentration must be on the raid itself. If you have a question, ask your group leader first, If he/she can not answer your question, they will find out & get back to you. This way only group leaders are sending tells to the Raid leader.

9. Send TELLS to the appropriate people for Buffs. The people who are buffing during a raid will be announced beforehand. Send them TELLS if you want buffs during the raid. If It is a group buff, only the Group leader should send a Tell to that person. This keeps the raid channel clear.

10. No Dueling during Raids! No running around to 'explore'. It is expected that you will stay with the group & Pay attention to all instructions.

11. If you go AFK during a raid you must /autofollow someone in your group & let your raid leader/group leader know.

12. You must have all maps Downloaded. Please check our Main board for links to Eq-Toolbox an excellent source for maps. If you are a class that cannot sow, Invis or EB yourself, you must have potions or items to do so at all times.
